The Challenge

The SIU Foundation's web presence had accumulated years of inconsistent design decisions — competing button styles, uneven spacing, and accessibility issues that were creating friction for donors and key stakeholders. Conversion paths were unclear and mobile performance was an afterthought.

The Solution

We conducted a full design audit across 40+ pages and systematically resolved inconsistencies in the component library. New button, form, and navigation standards were established. Accessibility improvements were implemented to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards, and all layout systems were rebuilt mobile-first.

Outcome

Donor conversion improved measurably after the UX refinements shipped. The new component standards prevented regression and became the foundation for all subsequent web updates — reducing future design debt accumulation significantly.
